Dear Catholic Church:

You know, I really do try to be tolerant of religion and I understand its a taboo subject. I know I can have great conversations about differences in faith and belief, but I have to ask is the Catholic Church that out of touch with reality??????

Fine, you have a bunch of child molestors in your ranks and you blame the gays for it. Even though I expect to see your priests on Dateline going into some home in Ft. Myers florida to have sex with a thirteen year old girl/boy you met on the internet. I understand that you want to point the blame at someone else so even though rape, abuse, and molestation is about power, you try to turn it about sexual orientation.

Fine, you are an archaic organization that won't allow women to join your ranks, even though that would greatly help your retention of members and priests. You do not allow birth control even though the use of condoms would greatly reduce the transmission of HIV/ AIDS in Africa, a continent you seem fine with killing off.

But seriously, the topic of the month with the church is the Da Vinci Code?!?!?!?! You scream and rail because it contains inconsistencies with your faith. Could that be because its a fiction book? Fiction means not fact, much like many parts of your new testament. oh wait... you're right, that's stepping over the line. But let's be honest, you are quite ridiculous that you are fighting so hard against something that is not claiming to be true. And for the record some scholars believe many of the things in The Da Vinci Code, so why aren't you out attacking them, instead of an author who writes creative made up stories?
